Johansen, a Superior native, took his Bachelor of Arts Degree, cum laude, from UWS before attending law school in San Diego, California.  There, he earned his Juris Doctor at California Western School of Law (Cal West) before returning to Wisconsin.  While in law school, Johansen worked at Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc. where he assisted clients in federal custody with intake and bail hearings. 

During his nearly twenty year career, Johansen has served as both President and Vice President of the Douglas County Bar Association.  He is a member in good standing with the State Bar of Wisconsin and president and supervising counsel at Johansen Law Office, S.C.  Focusing his practice primarily in the areas of criminal defense, OWI, and family law, Johansen works indefatigably on behalf of his clients from the initial consultation until the conclusion of the case.
